The all-green head, white eye-ring and white tips to the crest distinguish this species from Purplecrested Lourie. Livingstone's Lourie differs by having an elongated head crest. In flight shows conspicuous crimson patches on primaries. SEXES alike. IMM. has a shorter crest which lacks the white tips. HABITAT. Evergreen forests.
