Tour description - Our Oyster Boat heads off to the Knysna Heads, where we throw anchor, crack open a drink, and relax. Tour is fully guided while we explore the rest of the lagoon.

Did you know that Knysna is considered one of the most dangerous ports in the world! All due to the impressively beautiful, but dangerous Knysna Heads. Although potentially dangerous to pass through, there is no better way to see or experiencetheir beauty, than from the water.
Our ‘Heads Cruise’ leaves the tranquil setting of Thesen Island Harbour and takes you out onto the main lagoon waterway where we will relax and take a slow cruise towards the Heads. En route we will pass numerous estuarine sandbanks and your guide, Alex, will point out places of interest, birdlife and teach you about all the delights of the Knysna Lagoon and its surroundings.
Once at the Heads we’ll find a sunny, tranquil spot to crack open a bottle of wine and tuck into some snacks as we take in the impressive beauty of the Heads. We’ll spend as much time as we can enjoying the heads and while there, learn what it is that makes it such a dangerous port before starting our return trip, back up the estuary.
But before we return to harbour, we’ll take a small detour and head further up river to check out the hustle and bustle of the waterfront and point out some other well known Knysna highlights.
